Static Evaluation Of Buildings
Both in new and older buildings, the static evaluation design is necessary. In seismic areas like Greece, it is important to evaluate static adequacy of any building after either the change of use or after storey adding. The static evaluation can control if the building can bear the storey adding or if any extra reinforcement is required. The control is carried out in accordance with the Structural Interventions Greek Legislation (KAN.EPE.).
The design procedure is made by Emmanouil Glampedakis who is a civil engineer with a MSc in Earthquake Engineering, Imperial College London.
